Values essentially reflect who we are, and as such they’re relatively stable and unchanging. Contrary to what some experts might say, I believe as we move through life some of our values, based on fundamental ethical principles like ‘honesty’, will remain as priorities, whilst others driven by life circumstances might become new priorities. As our journey progresses values might seem like they’re changing, yet they’re not. Our values remain, but the hierarchy of values can change. Some cease to be priorities and others take centre-stage.
